In Deuteronomy 30:15, God says to the Israelites, “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.” Over and over again, Scripture speaks of two ways: one of life and one of destruction. Sadly, all too often, we walk down the way of destruction because Satan is good at making sin look enticing and joyous rather than deadly and ruinous. We can easily self-destruct.
In this series, we look at some of the sins that lead us to self-destruct, using the acronym DESTRUCTIVE, and we cling to the promises of the only One who can reconstruct what we destruct – Jesus Christ. Because He conquered His own destruction on a cross, sin does not have to destroy us.
